Rahul Ravindran Shares Secrets Behind The Girl Friend

Rashmika’s romantic drama The Girl Friend is set for a grand release on November 7th in multiple languages.

Dheekshith Shetty plays the male lead. Directed by Rahul Ravindran and presented by Allu Aravind the film is produced by Geetha Arts and Dheeraj Mogilineni Entertainment.

Rahul shared that the story was inspired by an incident from his college days and a song he heard back then.

Originally planned for OTT but Allu Aravind suggested turning it into a theatrical release. Rashmika instantly agreed after reading the script saying it was a story that needed to be told.

Rahul revealed that the film’s teaser misleads the audience, with the real emotional drama unfolding in theatres. Though told from the heroine’s perspective, both lead characters are equally important.

He chose Dheekshith Shetty after seeing him in Dasara. Rahul also confirmed two new projects and plans to reunite with Rashmika again soon.
