Radhika Apte Turns Director With ‘Kotya’

Radhika Apte is making her directorial debut with Kotya, a Hindi-Marathi action-fantasy film.

The story follows a migrant sugarcane cutter who gains superpowers after a forced medical procedure and uses them to free her family from debt.

The film was produced by Vikramaditya Motwane and was announced at the Cinevesture International Film Festival (CIFF).

Recently Radhika starred in Sister Midnight which premiered at Cannes and earned a BAFTA nomination. On the personal front, she welcomed her first child in December 2023.

With ‘Kotya’ Radhika Apte steps into a new creative role, promising an exciting blend of action and fantasy.
