This weekend, along with Dhanush and Sundeep Kishan’s movie ‘Raayan,’ Raj Tarun’s film ‘Purushothamudu’ was also released. The teaser and trailer got a lot of people interested in both movies. Let’s see if either one is worth watching.

Purushothamudu Movie Story: Rachit Ram (Raj Tarun) returns to Hyderabad after studying in London. His father (Murali Sharma) wants him to become the CEO of his company, Parashuramaiah Enterprises. However, the company rules state that the CEO must live a normal life in hiding for 100 days, without using their reputation or revealing personal details. Vasu (Ramya Krishna) argues that Rachit Ram can’t become CEO under these conditions because she wants her own son (Viran Muttamshetty) to take the position if Rachit fails.

As part of this challenge, Rachit Ram unexpectedly has to get off the train to Vizag at Kadiam. There, he ends up fighting against corrupt elders who are mistreating local farmers. He also gets involved with Ammulu (Hasini Sudhir), who is growing flowers in the town. Will Rachit Ram manage to become the CEO? Or is there more to his story?

Performances: Raj Tarun took on a challenging role similar to the one Mahesh Babu played in “Srimanthudu” and performed it well. However, his use of Godavari slang in some parts was a drawback. Sudheer charmed the heroine Hasini with his looks, but his acting needs improvement. Ramya Krishna delivered her usual strong performance. Allu Arjun’s brother-in-law, Viran Muttamshetty, played her son but only had a minor role, mainly talking to goons on the phone. Murali Sharma gave a solid performance as always. Praveen’s comedy was popular with the audience. Prakash Raj, although in a small role, delivered impactful dialogues at the end. The rest of the cast was okay.

Technical Aspects: Ram Bhimana’s story isn’t very original, as it has similarities to movies like “Arunachalam,”“Srimanthudu,”“Bicchagadu,” and “Pilla Zamindar”. However, the screenplay is well done and will appeal to B and C-center audiences. The film includes entertaining fights and comedy that help pass the time, even if they aren’t very logical.

The dialogues are good and might become popular on Instagram reels. The producers invested a lot in the film, making every scene look high-quality, like in big hero movies. Gopi Sundar’s music is also a highlight, with two memorable songs. Plus, the film is only 2 hours long, which is a positive aspect.

Analysis: Overall, “Purushothamudu” feels pretty ordinary and is just a time-passer. However, it’s better than Raj Tarun’s recent movies. It’s likely to be liked by audiences in B and C centers.

Verdict: “Purushothamudu” comes across as fairly routine and serves mainly as a way to pass the time. Despite this, it stands out as a better film compared to Raj Tarun’s recent releases. The movie is likely to be well-received by audiences and may appreciate its entertainment value. While it may not offer anything particularly groundbreaking, it does provide a decent viewing experience for those looking for light entertainment.

Bottom Line: Seems rather average and is mainly for passing the time.

Rating:2.5/5
