Priyamani saw a surge in her popularity during 2010 to 2014. Many films starring her from other languages have also released in Telugu. Even though she acted with Nagarjuna in Ragada, she couldn’t convert the success into major opportunities. She tried her best to accept all the interesting projects. One such project she accepted and left, Angulika, in 2013, has come around to create a problem for her. She shot in the movie for few days and then left it as she had few issues with dates adjustment and production. But now, they are using her name to publicise the movie.
Hence, the actress lodged the complaint through Movie Artists Association in Telugu Cinema Chamber of Commerce. The producers have been summoned for an explanation. Her major allegation is that she did not act in the film that started shooting in 2013. After initial shoot, she walked out of the project and the movie is completed with someone else. She submitted the publicity material of the film, Angulika, that has been released till now, to file the complaint.
Movie Artists Association took the complaint and asked the producers to answer the actress. They have sent the notice through Telugu Cinema Chamber of Commerce. They called the producers for an amicable discussion and debate to find out a possible solution for the problem. The reply from them is awaited.
