Young Rebel Star Prabhas was the first actor in Tollywood to act in a two-part franchise. Never before was anything like that attempted in Tollywood. There have been sequels in Telugu, but all of them have been spiritual sequels, but not continuity sequels.
Post Baahubali, no other film attempted the same thing again, with the exception of Balakrishna’s NTR: Kathanayakudu, and NTR: Mahanayakudu. Now, Stylish Star Allu Arjun is ready to attempt the same with his upcoming film with Sukumar, Pushpa. The first part of Pushpa is expected to release this year, and the second part is expected to release next year.
According to the latest reports, Prabhas is all set to do it again with his upcoming film Salaar, directed by Prashant Neel. The scope of Salaar is said to be huge, and given that Prashant has done the same with KGF, there’s no wonder his story is big enough for two films. Salaar features Shruti Haasan as the leading lady, making it her first-ever collaboration with Prabhas. The official confirmation of Salaar releasing in two parts is yet to be made. Salaar’s first part is expected to be released in 2022, while the second part is expected to be released in 2023.
