Young rebel star Prabhas was at the forefront, for the first pan-Indian film, the Baahubali franchise, which made him a pan-Indian star. The franchise also introduced a two-part style of movie-making, with both the parts telling the same story, a style that is not often followed in the Indian film industry. After the massive success of the franchise, many filmmakers have been following a similar format, with Pushpa even finding success in a similar format, and KGF following suit.
For a few months now, there have been reports that Prabhas’s upcoming film, Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel, would be released in two parts. While there have been no confirmations of this news yet, it is now being said that Prabhas’s yet another film would be getting a sequel. It is being said that Aidpurush, directed by Om Raut, in which Prabhas will be seen as Lord Ram, would get a sequel. The actor is said to have shown interest in being a part of the sequel if he is impressed by the script, on which the director is said to be working currently.
Kriti Sanon will be seen as Sita in the film, while Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Raavana. The film is being planned for an early 2023 release and is being produced by Series and Retrophiles.
