SRK made hints about the movie’s sequel at the press conference, and Siddharth Anand shared those hopes.
Pathaan has been in theatres for seven days. The production crew is analysing the film’s enormous popularity. The cast of the film, which also includes Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia, is led by Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham.
The Siddharth Anand-directed movie broke multiple box office records when it crossed the 300 crore rupee threshold in India. On Monday evening, Yash Raj Films hosted a special press conference with the three actors and the director to commemorate the movie’s success. SRK made hints about the movie’s sequel at the press conference, and Siddharth Anand shared those hopes.
“Working in Pathaan was such a significant experience, and I am quite serious today,” Shah Rukh Khan added. For the first time in a very long time, my family, friends, and everyone close to me are happy thanks to the popularity and success of the movie. So if you ask me, I’m delighted about the chance that was provided to me. And inshallah, I’m on board with Pathaan 2 whenever Siddharth wants to do it.
I’m ready to grow my hair this time to my hips for the sequel, SRK joked further. I’ll do my best to offer Pathaan 2 everything I’ve got. I’ll do it with honour.
Said Siddharth: “Like every filmmaker, I had a dream list that included working with Shah Rukh Khan at some point. In my opinion, you have to work for a Shah Rukh Khan movie. I believe that when I reached the end of my journey, I was given the opportunity to direct Shah Rukh Khan. Hit hui hai, pathaan aayi hai. Pathaan has been released and has been a success. Uske baad kya banayege. What will we produce following that?” With a big smile on his face, Siddharth added, “Inshallah (God willing)” as supporters screamed “Pathan 2.”
Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi versions of the movie are now playing in theatres. After Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, and War, it is the fourth film to be released in the YRF Spy Universe. Salman Khan’s appearance as Tiger and the mention of Hrithik Roshan’s Kabir character were notable in the movie.
On the other side, Shah Rukh Khan will now start shooting again on February 1st, 2023 for Atlee Kumar’s Jawan. Release of the movie is planned for June 2023. He has also scheduled the December release of Dunki by Rajkumar Hirani.
