Fans are curious if Samantha Ruth Prabhu would make a comeback in Pushpa 2: The Rule with a new version following the success of Oo Antava.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is probably one of the most eagerly awaited films. The film will serve as the follow-up to the successful Indian film from 2021, Pushpa: The Rise, which was among the top Indian films of the year. In addition to the drama and action, Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s performance in the song Oo Antava was the star of the show. Fans have been wondering if Sam might return with a fresh rendition of her iconic song as the sequel is now in production, and music composer Devi Sri Prasad recently provided some answers.
Samantha’s spectacular performance on Oo Antava, which also starred Allu Arjun, halted time. Although the song was criticized for allegedly objectifying women and having a misogynistic tone, it nonetheless managed to win over millions of fans and is currently at the top of many playlists.
Fans have been wondering if they will get to see Samantha and Allu Arjun share the screen once more ever since director Sukumar started work on Pushpa 2. Devi Sri Prasad revealed some details about the future film despite the producers keeping quiet about its progress.
The Grammy-winning composer expressed gratitude to the audience for their support of Pushpa and its music in an interview. The way Sukumar (director) sir has scripted the story is excellent, the actor DSP stated when discussing the next sequel. Like we always do, we are working very diligently and passionately on this movie.
DSP responded, “We aren’t looking at any reprise of Oo Antava in Pushpa 2 but it’s too early to say anything right now,” when asked if the producers are working on a fresh version of Oo Antava starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. He did not break fans’ hearts and gave them a light of hope by saying, “We’re working on a lot of surprises. I hope that everyone will continue to support the movie and its soundtrack and help to make them unforgettable. Fans may just listen to Oo Antava again for the time being since it is unknown if there will be a reprise of the song.
