Omicron pushes Tollywood actors into hibernation mode

The Telugu film industry is one of the busiest film industries in the world, producing hundreds, if not thousands of films, every year. Everything changed with the advent of coronavirus, which took over everyone’s lives in 2020. The industry suffered greatly due to the first and second waves of coronavirus, and with the omicron variant now spreading rapidly in the country, Tollywood has once again gone into a resting mode.

Megastar Chiranjeevi has restricted himself to the confines of his house, while Venkatesh is in the US, on a family vacation. He is expected to return only when things go back to normal, and Balakrishna is currently busy with the pre-production works of his upcoming film. While Mahesh Babu tested covid positive, other actors have decided to postpone their shooting schedules for a later time.

On the whole, though, Tollywood’s actors have decided to go into a hibernation mode, with the current situation. This would affect the current release schedules of the film, and it is to be seen when Tollywood will return to normalcy again.
