Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao is the legend of Telugu Cinema. He contributed to the industry as an actor, director, screenplay writer and producer. He won Padma Sri for his work from Indian Government and later became Chief Minister of united Andhra Pradesh, in 1984. He is one who started Telugu Desam Party, a strong opposition to Congress and other National parties in Telugu states.
He started his career in 1948 in films and by 1951, he became a star hero. He continued to grow as an actor and star with many films and with roles like Lord Rama, Lord Krishna he became the most popular hero in mythological genre in Telugu ever. He even acted in many folklore and he is credited as the first mass hero of Telugu Cinema too. After entering into politics, he continued making films and Major Chandrakanth, is his last huge blockbuster.
A film on his life is a best opportunity for youngsters to know about him and his contribution to Industry. His son, popular actor, Nandamuri Balakrishna has decided to come up with the new film, a biopic on him. This film will start in the direction of Teja on 29th March and it is being made as a Hindi-Telugu bilingual. Sai Korrapati will produce the film along with Balakrishna. The regular shoot will start later this year and it is expected to release for Sankranthi next year.
