The actor made a steady progress with unusual choices stories and he became greatly popular with young audience of Telugu and Tamil as well along with him being a crowd favourite in Malayalam Cinema, The actor has bagged a good hit with OK Bangaram in Telugu, directed by Mani Ratnam. Now, he is once again playing a character in Telugu Cinema, biopic on legendary actress Savitri, Mahanati.
The actor is releasing his new movie, Solo directed by Bejoy Nambiar in Tamil and Malayalam. The movie is also getting a good release in Hyderabad and the actor is in high spirits about the movie. He said, “ We used to feel like we have accomplished some thing on sets everyday and that made us push the envelope more in the movie. Personally, I don’t like being a part of bilinguals but this is the time, where they are working and new markets will always help us grow. So, this movie is being made as a bilingual. Also, bilinguals will give you some budget advantage to go forward.”
He talked about his role, Gemini Ganeshan in the movie, Mahanati and said, “ I can’t mock the actor as we don’t know how he was in real life. All I can do is adapt some of his traits on screen into my body language and think about the character as me in 1950’s acting. I said, I will be doing that and the director also agreed to it. There is a feeling off accomplishment on this sets too. But it is too early to talk about the movie yet.” Keerthy Suresh is playing the role of Savitri in the movie and Samantha, Vijay Devarakonda are also acting in the movie.
