From her career starting days, meaning from Venkatadri Express to till date she had been highly successful with many movies as well.
But she faced a low with her films like Bruce Lee, Kick 2 becoming disasters and 2016 has been a decisive turn in her career as she found big box office success with Nannaku Prematho and Dhruva. Her latest with Sai Dharam Tej, Winner is getting ready to release for February, 2017. Also she is busy with Mahesh Babu, Muragadoss film, Naga Chaitanya film with Kalyan Krishna and Boyapati Srinu film with Bellamkonda Srinivas. After all these films she has many more offers waiting in the wings.
Along with all these, she had an opportunity to star opposite Pawan Kalyan in his Vedalam remake, directed by RT Neason. The movie script work has been completed and Pawan Kalyan wants to start the movie by the end of the year and release it early next year. Already, SS Thaman started working on tunes and Back Ground Score for the movie along with the director. But being busy with all these projects, Rakul could not allot the bulk dates necessary for the movie and she had to lose the offer. Had she accepted the offer, she would have been only heroine after Kajal Aggarwal to work with Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Ram Pothineni, Ravi Teja, Jr. NTR and Pawan Kalyan.
