After RRR, Jr NTR starred in Devara, directed by Koratala Siva. With Janatha Garage being a hit, expectations were high.
Though the film got mixed reviews on day one, it was well received in B and C centers. It ended up collecting Rs. 400 crores at the box office and celebrated 50 days in 50 centers and 100 days in 4 centers.
However, once it released on OTT, the film faced heavy trolling and negative comments. Surprisingly, despite being a hit, it was criticized widely online. Many even felt there’s no need for a sequel.
This led to doubts about Devara 2. But during the Mad Square success meet, NTR confirmed Devara 2 is definitely happening.
Still, fans seem uninterested. On his birthday, fans are only eager for updates on War 2, Dragon and his film with Nelson Dilipkumar, showing that Devara 2 hype is missing.
