Nayanthara Reflects On Love, Sacrifices, And Finding Her True Strength

Nayanthara, popularly known as the Lady Superstar, recently opened up about a time when she chose to quit acting for love during one of her relationships.

In an interview, she reflected on her decision and shared insights about her comeback. Fans believe she was referring to her past relationship with choreographer Prabhu Deva.

Nayanthara admired for her film choices and dedication to acting, has also made headlines for her personal life. Now married to filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, she revealed that in 2011, she decided to leave the film industry because of her relationship. She said, “I was young and vulnerable and believed that to have love in my life, I had to make compromises”.

She explained how the film industry shaped her thinking back then. “The industry has shown us many relationships including second marriages. At that time I thought it was normal and believed that if your partner didn’t like you doing something you should sacrifice it. That was my understanding of love at the time,” she shared.

Reflecting on how that relationship changed her, Nayanthara said, “If it were not for that experience, I wouldn’t have discovered the strength I have today. It helped me realize my true potential and turned me into a completely different person”.
