Narappa or Drushyam 2: Which is a safe bet for the makers?

Senior star Venkatesh has three crazy projects such as Narappa, Drushyam 2 and F3 in the pipeline. While the shooting for Narappa and Drushyam 2 has been wrapped up before lockdown itself, F3’s shoot is expected to resume soon after the lockdown is lifted.

Narappa, an intense action drama is an official remake of the 2019 Tamil film, Asuran and the makers have already announced that the film will hit the screens on May 14th. But due to the Covid situation, the film’s release has been postponed indefinitely. On the other hand, Drushyam 2, the official remake of the Malayalam family thriller, Drishyam 2’s post-production activities are expected to kick-start soon.

Meanwhile, the latest news coming in from our sources is that Venky’s brother and senior filmmaker Suresh Babu is planning to put Narappa’s release on hold and bring Drushyam 2 to the cinemas soon after the theatres are reopened. However, to get clarity on the release of Narappa and Drushyam 2, we have to wait and watch for an official confirmation.
