Namit Malhotra’s Bold Bet On Ramayana

Namit Malhotra is showing great confidence as a producer by bringing the epic Ramayana to the big screen.

The teaser released recently shows the film’s grand scale, with Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Ram. The total budget for both parts is around Rs. 4000 crore, making it one of the biggest Indian films ever.

Even with such a huge budget, Namit is not selling the digital, satellite, or music rights yet.

He reportedly rejected a Rs. 700 crore offer, expecting a much bigger deal, around Rs. 1000 crore from OTT platforms. He believes Ramayana is a legacy film with global appeal.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, Sai Pallavi and Sunny Deol and is planned for a Diwali 2026 release.
