The success of Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra was more than just Dulquer Salmaan’s bold Rs. 30 crore Malayalam venture; it also became a proud moment for producer Naga Vamsi.
Only weeks earlier, he faced a low phase after the failure of War 2. Social media was harsh, and many criticized his choices, calling his silence a sign of weakness.
At the film’s success event, director Venky Atluri turned things around. After praising Dulquer, Nimish, and the Malayalam cast, he addressed Vamsi, saying, “In August you faced criticism, but by the end of August you gave a reply”.
Those words struck a chord, showing how Vamsi’s quiet resilience became his strongest answer. Vamsi himself urged the audience to watch the film expressing full confidence in it.
For a producer often judged only by box-office numbers, this success was proof that his value lies in more than collections, it lies in trust, respect and perseverance.
We got a bad name because of you #DulquerSalmaan sir. How can you make such good quality film in just 30 crores
