Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya director Swaroop RSJ is back with a comedy thriller titled, Mishan Impossible. Starring Taapsee Pannu in a key role, the film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it fares.
Story: Shailaja (Taapsee Pannu) who is after a child trafficking gang crosses paths with three kids Raghupati, Raghava, Rajaram. Who are these three kids? What is there backstory? How will Shailaja with the help of these kids crack the child trafficking gang? To know that you have to watch the film in the theatres near you.
Performances: Raghupati, Raghava and Rajaram roles potrayed by three kids are fabulous. Their innocent performance is a major plus for the film. The situational comedy scenes between the three kids evoke healthy laughs.
Taapsee Pannu is okay in her role as a social activist. Though her acting in the in the second half adds authentic texture to the proceedings, the talented actress’ role lacks proper detailing.
Other artists like Bhanu Prakash, Harsh Roshan, Harsha are okay in their supporting roles.
Technicalities: Music by Mark K Robin is one of the plus points for the film. Though the film has no songs, the background score stands as a backbone for this thriller. His sounding elevates a few key scenes in the second half.
The cinematography by Deepak Yeragara is nice as he presented the entire film on a rustic note with his lens. Editing by Raviteja Girijala is okay but he should have chopped off close to ten minutes of the film for a better cinematic experience.
Production design is okay and so is the case with the production values by Matinee Entertainments banner.
Analysis: Director Swaroop RSJ’s idea of making a child trafficking crime thriller by incorporating kids related sub-plot is nice. He tried his best to present the film on a decent note but lack of racy screenplay in the first half and a few cliches in the latter half stand tall as demerit for the movie.
Instead Swaroop RSJ would have focused on the presentation format to get unanimous applause. Adding to it, poorly designed Taapsee’s character also lacks proper sync with the proceedings.
To summerize, Mishan Impossible is a comedy coated crime thriller that revolves around child trafficking. The three kids who did the lead roles are superb with their acting but the film lacks solid execution.
