Manchu Lakshmi Remains Tight-Lipped After ED Interrogation

Manchu Lakshmi appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday for questioning in connection with the betting apps endorsement case. She reportedly spent several hours inside the ED office.

When she stepped out, wearing sunglasses, reporters gathered to ask questions, but she simply said, ‘Matladatledu andi’ (I will not speak now) and left without giving any further comments.

Manchu Lakshmi is the fourth celebrity to be questioned in this matter, following Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati, and Prakash Raj.

The ED has been investigating the alleged promotion of betting apps, which is prohibited in India, and has issued notices to 29 celebrities so far.

These include not only film stars but also well-known social media influencers. Officials suspect that the endorsements encouraged people to use illegal betting platforms. More celebrities and influencers are expected to be called for questioning as the investigation continues into the widespread promotion of such apps.
