Storyline : The movie ‘Manamantha’ is a bilingual movie, which is released, titled as ‘Vismayam’ in Malayalam and in Tamil as “Namadhu’. The whole story revolves around the lives of four people- a supermarket manager, a housewife, a computer student and a convent school girl. An unexpected incident brings a commendable change in the lives of all the above. That is the main crux of the story “Manamantha”. Can call it a family drama with enough emotional grab.

Roles and Performances : Mohal Lal plays the struggling middle-class,who is in a dire need of promotion in his job. Gauthami plays a housewife, while Raina Rao plays the generous school girl. Vishwanath is an IT student and plays a lover who gets distracted because of that. How an incident brings drastic changes in the lives if these, is where the story takes a twist.

This is a remarkable comeback for Malayalam star Mohanlal into the Telugu movies again. His action is one of the highlights of this movie. Gauthami looks apt in her role and she has done a decent job. Raina Rao and Viswanath also have justified their roles very well.

Anisha Ambrose, Bramhaji, Urvashi, Chandra Mohan, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao, Vennela Kishore etc. have done a good job and justified their roles well. No role went unnoticed or insignificant. Appropriate usage of the star cast.

Technical Aspects : Chandra Shekhar Yeleti, who has given to us some of the path-breaking movies like Aithe, Anukokunda Oka Roju, Okkadunnadu, Prayanam, Sahasam etc. has done a fantastic job. The narration, the screenplay, the elevation of the roles, everything is in a sync and the thanks to Chandra Shekar.

The screenplay is so very gripping. Appropriate timing for the twists and well executed roles. A channelized narration of the captivating storyline is where the beauty of filmmaking lies. The production values are decent and the credits to the producer- Sai Korrapati. Music by Mahesh Shankar is good, the BGM goes in sync with the narration.

Rahul Srivatsav’s camera’s lens have captured a rich technical front which were shot in the outdoors and natural locations gives a good and appealing ambience.

Final Review : A bombardment of a gripping story with a captivating screenplay is “Manamantha”. Mohan Lal’s action, Gauthami’s screen presence, the contribution of all the other actors are appealing. Director Chandra Shekhar Yeleti has proved it again, his skill in filmmaking. A family drama with a capturing storyline and appealing performances. The movie is definitely going to impress the A center viewers. The critics are to shower the praises for sure.
