Hyderabad has been a hub for telugu films with RTC ‘X’ roads in the city being the most sought out theatre screening space. Many films nominate one cinema hall in the cluster has their main theatre in all over city and state. Hyderabad owing to it’s mixed culture with heavy Nizam influence, used to screen hindi films of big stars in Abids region.Hyderabad became the home of Telugu cinema once industry completely shifted to the capital and a good post production facility was the need of the hour.
Then, from the Legendary Filmmaker, L.V. Prasad constructed a facility for all post production activities like dubbing, mixing, editing and printing, L.V. Prasad Labs. The Prasad group did not stop there and with an intention to develop the filmmakers, L.V. Prasad Institute for TV and Film was constructed, then going with the innovation in technology, a VFX studio was also constructed by the group as EFX.
After all this success, the group expanded their activities into film exhibition and constructed a multiplex that allows multiple films to screen at the same time and also unite the hindi and Telugu audience of the culture diverse city. The start of many multiplexes in Telugu States, Prasadz was the brain child of Ramesh Prasad. The man who is running the Prasad Group successfully and continuing their services to films, Ramesh Prasad has been honored with Life Time Achievement at Indywood Film Festival happening in Ramoji Film City. Indywood is happening in Hyderabad to bring in the International quality films into Telugu Film Industry and the festival is going at a full swing as we speak.
