Big budgets movie director Gunasekhar is attempting another huge project with Shaakunthalam. This is a mythological tale. He is attempting to retell the story of Shakunthala and King Dushyantha’s love and the after-effects. It is based on the Kalidasu’s story Abhignana Shaakunthalam. Gunasekhar is going to produce this project as well.
It has been announced officially that Samantha is going to play the titular role in the movie. She will be seen as Shakunthala in the project. Now, as per the latest update, Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is going to act alongside Samantha. He will be seen in the role of King Dushyant.
Dev Mohan is a model turned actor. He was recently seen in Aditi Rao Hydari’s Sufiyum Sujatayum. Though Gunasekhar tried for a Telugu young hero, the attempts went in vain. So he has approached Malayalam star.
