Major Update On Salman Khan’s Upcoming War Drama Battle Of Galwan

Battle of Galwan, one of the most awaited films of 2026 stars Salman Khan in a completely new avatar. His recent shirtless photos created a huge buzz online showcasing his impressive fitness.

According to sources the film began shooting in September in Ladakh and major action sequences have already been completed. The shoot will wrap up by December after which director Apoorva Lakhia will begin post-production.

The makers are eyeing a mid-2026 release most likely in June, though July or August are also being considered. Fans hope for a teaser or announcement on Salman’s 60th birthday on December 27th but nothing has been confirmed.

The film also features Chitrangda Singh, with Salman playing Colonel Bikkumalla Santosh Babu, a character inspired by a chapter from India’s Most Fearless 3 by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh.

Director Apoorva Lakhia has dismissed rumours about Amitabh Bachchan making a cameo.
