Major Step To Fix Industry Issues
The Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce recently held an important meeting led by President D. Suresh Babu to discuss ongoing issues between producers and exhibitors.
After the meeting, senior producer C. Kalyan announced the formation of a 15 member committee with equal representation of 5 producers, 5 distributors and 5 exhibitors to take the reform process forward.
He revealed that the industry is planning to move towards a percentage-based revenue system for theaters, replacing the old fixed rental model, which has become difficult for single-screen owners.
The discussions were positive and efforts are being made to solve all related issues together.
According to him, these problems may be resolved within the next one to two months, helping upcoming releases like Peddi run smoothly.
