After Namrata Shirodkar paid a quick visit to Mahesh Babu’s adopted village, Burripalem, there has been much talk about all the development plans he wants to undertake in the coming few days. When he had adopted two villages, after the blockbuster, Srimanthudu, there was a lot of criticism because the actor reportedly did not do much. However, now the Mahesh Babu Camp is actively taking an interest. And a well-sketched out agenda has been drawn out which will include alleviating illiteracy (an adult education centre will be set up such that people of all ages can enroll); toilets will be constructed to stop open defecation, environment protection measures will be ensured, awareness about better health will be generated; better drinking water will be provided and Anganwadi shelters will be set up to provide more employment opportunities for women.
And from Namrata Shirodkar’s Instagram posts, it also looks like the people took a great liking to her. However, as far as the real progress is concerned, only time will tell if the Ghattamaneni clan can actually bring about some real change.
