Fans of actors tend to celebrate their birthday as an event. Few decades ago, stars used to give big parties on special occasions to various bigwigs in the Industry. Fans used to read about them and talk about who came to the parties. Slowly, they turned into big events as fans started gathering at one place and celebrate the day by watching their hero movies and dance at the theatres, if their movies were still playing or just released.
Now, if someone doesn’t celebrate a star’s birthday, then the star is trolled as if his or her birthday is an ‘event’ that needs to be celebrated otherwise, they are not stars! In any case, that is the new normal that fans follow and the actors started asking them to do good deeds or organise charity events to fans rather than wasting money on cutouts and posters. With Covid pandemic this year, the regulations don’t allow for big group gatherings and people who violate it can find themselves in legal cases. This will be a big mark on professional careers of young talents.
Hence, Mahesh Babu took initiative to request his fans to stay away from any social gatherings as his birthday is coming up on 9th August and as it falls on a Sunday, there will be more people on streets than usual doing shopping for groceries and clothes. During the time, if fans start to try and organise bike rallies or birthday party type events to show-off their love, we never know who will contract the virus and it will get even harder to curtail the spread. We hope fans will understand and obey Mahesh Babu’s request.
