Mahesh Babu got Rathnavelu to work on Brahmotsavam

Though he wanted to do some other film, it was apparently Mahesh Babu who convinced ace cinematographer Rathnavelu to work on Brahmotsavam. “I wasn’t sure but he convinced me to do it,” says Mahesh Babu, says Rathnavlu, adding, “I’m known for high contrast visuals but Brahmotsavam is a family entertainer, so I completely changed my style and went with soft contrast to achieve a glossy character. The movie has an ensemble cast and each one of them is significant. When so many characters are in the frame, it is my responsibility to give everyone their due attention, visually.” The movie is being produced by Prasad V Potluri under PVP Cinema and is out by May 20.
