Entire Nation is looking at the sensational protest that Tamil Nadu youth are doing silently and non violently to lift the Ban on Jallikattu that is been imposed due to the activities of PETA that wanted to bring in the PCA act into action in India. According to this act, any animal cruelty sport or harassment in any form. Due to the act many animals used for the shooting in films have reduced and new rules have been imposed to save them. Tamil Nadu youth has taken the ban on Jallikattu, traditional sport that involves Bull chase, played during the Pongal season, has a sign of attack on Dravida culture and tradition. So they have started a silent protest at Marina beach and everyday since the Pongal festival has started and the matter is with the Supreme Court to either lift the Ban or let the sport persist. From last four days, food and water have been sponsored by many celebrities like Lawrence and others.
Supreme Court looking at the growing demand for Jallikattu and huge protest took a decision to pass the judgement a weak later to the schedule time and in the mean time advised both Central and State Governments to react soon and find an amicable solution about the sport. With Political protests increasing even Kollywood industry has taken a step to support the silent protest. Nadigar Sangam stopped all the shootings for the day and popular actors right from Ajith to Nasser are participating in the protest. The Government of Tamil Nadu is trying to bring a special Ordinance to let Jallikattu traditional sport for this season and find a permanent solution. Looking at all these, Mahesh Babu yesterday, tweeted that he is pleased with the united protest that entire Tamil Nadu youth is doing and he supports their efforts in lifting the ban on the sport. Today, Pawan Kalyan also announced through Twitter that he supports Jallikattu and Kodi pandelu traditions and these should not be banned as they are part of culture. Well, it is heartening to see top actors reacting to save the culture and tradition.
