Mahavatar Narsimha, released on July 25th alongside Hari Hara Veera Mallu, quietly impressed with positive word of mouth from its first show. Directed by Ashwin Kumar, it’s the first in an animated series on Vishnu’s avatars. Though a known story, it was made visually appealing for the younger generation.
With limited theatres and low ticket rates, the film still managed to grow in collections thanks to strong response.
Have a quick look at its first week box office collections:
| AP+Telangana | 7.12 cr |
| Rest of India+Hindi | 20.5 cr |

Mahavatar Narsimha entered theatres with a Rs. 15 crore break-even target but collected Rs. 29.42 crore share worldwide in its first week, earning nearly double profits. The Hindi version alone grossed around Rs. 40 crore. With strong demand, the film is adding more screens for its second weekend, promising even bigger collections ahead.
