Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Subhash Ghai’s rumours were addressed by Madhuri Dixit in the flashback interview, which was uploaded on Reddit. “Why should I object if people want to recommend me for their film?” she asked. No harm, in my opinion. But I reject the idea of appeasing someone only for a role. It’s ridiculous! Producers are also not ignorant. Just because a hero has promoted me won’t be enough for them to accept me. Recommendations by themselves are useless. It’s not that simple. Only after demonstrating your acting prowess can you get cast in a role. Additionally, I believe that my work has been appreciated, even though several of my films were acquired through recommendations.
A user responded to Madhuri Dixit’s interview by writing, “Interview is made up; Tezaab came out in November 1988. Paap ka anth and Izzatdaar were the two films that Madhuri and Govinda were actively making at the time. She’s lying when she says she’d collaborate with Govinda because they were already doing it.
“Looks like the question got changed,” said another person. There was no way she could have responded.
“Sounds fake and made up,” said the third. Finding original quotes from this only turns up one post from a three-year-old India forum. If it were true, there would have been much more coverage of it.
