Acclaimed filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar has begun shooting his next film The Wives in Mumbai. The film stars Sonali Kulkarni, Mouni Roy, Regina Cassandra, Rahul Bhatt, Arjan Bajwa and Freddy Daruwala.
The Wives explores the untold lives of Bollywood star wives focusing on their hidden struggles behind the pretty facade.
Bhandarkar said the film will offer a bold look into the world of women who are often overlooked despite living in luxury and limelight.
Continuing his tradition of saying socially relevant stories Bhandarkar aims to shed light on the emotional realities behind showbiz life.
This marks his second collaboration with producer Pranav Jain of P J Motion Pictures after their successful OTT release India Lockdown.
Produced by Bhandarkar Entertainment and P J Motion Pictures, The Wives promises to be another thought provoking film from the director.
