Lawyer Arrested For Threatening And Extorting 50 Lakh From Shah Rukh Khan

A lawyer from Raipur, Faizan Khan, was arrested for threatening and trying to extort Rs. 50 lakh from Shah Rukh Khan.

Investigations revealed that Faizan searched online for details about Shah Rukh and his son Aryan Khan’s security and movements before making the threats. This came out after police analyzed data from his second mobile phone.

While in custody Faizan gave unclear and misleading answers about why he was gathering such sensitive information.

The incident began on November 7, when Faizan called Bandra Police Station, demanding Rs. 50 lakh from someone he referred to as “Bandstand-wala”. When asked for his name, he said “Hindustani” and ended the call.

The police quickly tracked the call to Raipur, Chhattisgarh and arrested Faizan on November 12th. He was initially held in police custody until November 18th and is now in judicial custody for 14 days.
