Sekhar Kammula’s upcoming film Kubera is a social drama starring Dhanush and Nagarjuna in lead roles, with Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh in important roles.
Produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Rammohan Rao, the film is set to release on the 20th of this month.
The producers revealed that Kammula narrated the idea soon after Love Story released, and Dhanush agreed to the role just 20 minutes into the narration. They believe the film has turned out brilliantly.
Though it’s a straight Telugu and Tamil film, it will also be dubbed into Hindi. The story revolves around the powerful contrast between the world’s richest man and the poorest person on the streets.
The producers said they were thrilled to finally collaborate with Nagarjuna, who gave a strong performance. Filming in real locations like slums and streets in Mumbai was a big challenge.
They also plan to work with Sekhar Kammula again on a future project.
