Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif, who are seen as Pakistani spies in Pathaan and Tiger, could be seen together in a film in the YRF Spy Universe. Pathaan’s writer said in a new interview that ‘there’s absolutely a plan to make a spy film with the women.’

Backed by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films, the YRF Spy Universe is an Indian shared universe centered on a series of spy action-thrillers featuring eclectic fictional RAW agents. Pathaan’s writer Sridhar Raghavan in a recent interview indicated that a spy film starring Deepika’s Rubai and Katrina Kaif’s Zoya might just be in the works. Talking about the scarcity of women-led spy films in Bollywood, he said the makers wanted to fill the ‘vacuum.’
Pathaan’s writer Sridhar Raghavan said, “There’s a vacuum of those kinds of stories (women-led spy films) here. I’m pretty sure we’ll be filling that up. So, yes, there’s definitely a plan to make a spy film with the women.” Sridhar. The writer believes that putting all the characters together, including the female agents and spies, will be a joyful experience for both them and the viewers.
