Karthi has built a strong fan base in Telugu and all his movies release in Telugu states at the same time as Tamil. He now wants to act in straight Telugu films soon.
He is currently promoting his new movie Vaa Vaathiyaar which is releasing in Telugu as Annagaru Vostaru this Friday. At the pre-release event he shared that he will soon work with a Telugu director without fail.
Karthi said he recently met Telugu filmmaker Vivek Athreya and listened to his story. He also said that he is waiting for the next narration and praised Vivek’s writings.
There are also rumors that Karthi might do a film with Sithara Entertainments. MAD movie fame Kalyan Shankar is said to be in discussions for this project.
Overall Karthi seems to be planning several Telugu films in the next few years.
