Kamal Hassan’s Indian 2, one of the worst affected films

Kamal Hassan and ace director Shankar teamed up after many years for the film Indian 2, a sequel to yesteryear classic Indian/Bharateeyudu. The film has been shooting at a smooth pace until tragedy struck. 3 of the crew members died on the Indian 2 sets after a crane crashed down. With this accident, the shoot has to be stalled abruptly. This followed by the pandemic situation, which means the Indian 2 shooting is not happening from February.

Right from the start, Indian 2 is facing lots of hurdles. There were disputes between Shankar and the producers. Now, it seems everything has been sorted out. Shankar is believing that Indian 2 shoot might resume in early 2021 and if everything goes on smoothly, the movie might release in January 2022. Shankar now is not in a hurry mode. He wants to leave out all the difficulties faced and wants to start everything fresh. Hope that happens soon.
