Kamal Haasan, aged 70, is returning to the big screen with Thug Life, set to release on June 5th. At the film’s pre-release event in Kochi, he addressed retirement rumours with humour, saying, “My retirement means I’m dead”.
The veteran actor made it clear that he has no plans to quit cinema anytime soon. He shared that the passion inside him still burns bright, and his journey in films will continue.
While he may look forward to moments of relaxation, possibly in Kerala, stepping away from movies isn’t something he’s considering.
Thug Life marks Kamal’s second collaboration with director Mani Ratnam after their 1st film Nayakan. The gangster drama features a strong cast including Silambarasan, Trisha, and many others.
The story follows mafia leader and his adopted son whose bond is tested by betrayal and power struggles, promising a gripping cinematic experience.
