Kajal to get replaced in Indian 2

Director Shankar and Kamal Haasan delivered a blockbuster hit in 1998, with a very relevant topic such as corruption and how it is impacting the country, in the form of Indian, known as Bharateeyudu in Telugu. After more than two decades, the duo got back together just before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, for Indian 2. Kajal Aggarwal was roped in as the leading lady of the film.

The film was put on hold due to coronavirus, and then got shelved, with the producers, Lycaa Productions, even filing a case against Shankar, for moving on to Ram Charan’s project, before completing Indian 2. It has now been confirmed that Shankar would be completing Indian 2 once he is done with Charan’s film.

On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal has gotten married and even gave birth to her son, Neil Kitchlu, in the meantime. She seems to be having the time of her life as a mother, as evidenced by her Instagram posts. Moreover, there’s no confirmation on whether the actress plans to return to movies or not. Thus, it is being said that she would be replaced in Indian 2, with a Bollywood actress, who would now play the leading lady opposite Kamal.
