Janhvi Kapoor Sets Record Straight On Her Comments

Janhvi Kapoor recently cleared the confusion around her comments on alcohol saying she is not someone who has faced addiction.

She clearly explained that she is part of the conversation as a caregiver and ally supporting people dealing with such issues. The misunderstanding began after an interview where her words were taken in a different way by many.

Janhvi had mentioned that she went through a phase of frequent drinking after a traumatic experience but she didn’t like its effect on her health and chose to stop.

She is now working with mental health organization Amaha on the “Off the Rocks” initiative to encourage open discussions about alcohol dependency.

She also said addiction should be treated as a medical issue, and people should respond with empathy and support, not judgment.
