Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer was a blockbuster, collecting over Rs. 600 crore worldwide. Its sequel, Jailer 2, features Vidya Balan, SJ Suryah and Mithun Chakraborty in key roles, with Hrithik Roshan and Vijay Sethupathi appearing in special roles.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has secured strong theatrical business despite a mixed response to its promotional content. Naga Vamsi’s Sithara Entertainments is releasing the film in the Telugu states.

Jailer 2 collected Rs. 60.85 crore share worldwide on day one, against a Rs. 285 crore break-even target. In the Telugu states, it earned Rs. 9.95 crore share, with Rs. 27.05 crore more needed to break even.
