A film titled, IPL( It’s Pure Love) starring Vishwa Karthikeya, Nitin Nash, and Archana Gautham under the direction of Suresh Lankalapalli had a theatrical release on February 10th. Produced 6 Beeram Srinivas’ Ankita Media House banner, the film released in close to sixty theatres across twin Telugu states.
The first half of IPL deals love and comedy scenes between the lead pair Varun and Archana Gautham. The film also has a track on aspiring cricketer Sriram and his love story with a girl from the same colony. The twist in the film is related to IPL kind of cricket league and how terrorists aim to takeover the game by betting on a large scale.
Though the lead artists gave a decent performance, lack of engaging narrative and soul in the proceedings turns as a major defect for the film. The uneven presentation and execution syndrome are clearly visible while watching the film.
Meanwhile, the reports suggest that noted streaming platforms Amazon Prime Video, Disney Plus Hotstar and Zee5 are in the list to bag the film’s post-theatrical streaming rights. As the word of mouth is below-average, IPL( Its Pure Love) is likely to go for digital premieres this month itself.
