Director Ashwath Marimuthu recently posted a surprising update on Instagram, over 15,000 people applied for a single assistant director job! Known for his blockbuster Dragon with Pradeep Ranganathan, Ashwath is now starting pre-production for his next film with actor Simbu.

He had invited applications on social media, expecting to hire just 10 people, but the massive response made him double the slots to 20, across two upcoming films.

He wrote, “Deadline is over. We’ve received 15,000+ resumes. My team will now start selecting”. He also thanked everyone for tagging and messaging him, adding, “I see them all. Thank you for the love!”

His honest and kind message has won hearts online, especially among young film lovers dreaming of their big break. Now, everyone’s waiting to see who the lucky 20 will be!
