The 97th Academy Awards jury has released a list of 323 feature films eligible for this year’s Oscars and Suriya’s Tamil film Kanguva is on the list.
Despite failing at the box office Kanguva met the eligibility criteria for the Best Picture category.
Along with Kanguva, other Indian films made it to the list, including the Hindi version of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Aadujeevitham (GOAT Life), Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, and Santosh.
The Malayalam film All We Imagine As Light is also part of the lineup.
Voting for the nominations begins tomorrow and will close on January 12th. The final nominations will be announced on January 17th.
