Samantha Akkineni is known for her acting skills and glam doll looks. She is one of the most popular actresses in South Cinema and even got a nickname of “Million Dollar Baby”, as she is part of many films that became huge hits in North American box office in Telugu and Tamil. Recent blockbuster, Rangasthalam, is her highest and the first Non-Baahubali film to hit 3 Million USD mark. After marriage, this is her biggest hit and she is also waiting for the release of Mahanati and Abhimanyudu, this summer season.
Samantha Akkikeni, even dubbed for the first time in her career in Telugu, for Mahanati. She is really excited about the film and shared, “I have been really looking forward to Mananati release. The film is close to my heart and I want to see, the output that we have worked so hard for on screen. I developed a great empathy and new respect towards Savitri garu doing the film and I hope, people will also do the same. If we are able to make them feel what she went through to stay on top for those many years, we will be successful in our endeavor.”
Later, she talked about how she contemplated quitting films. She said, “I wanted to and thought about quitting films when I got married. I did not want to ruin everything I did over the years, with bad films. I wanted to make good films and be part of good stories. I wanted some good characters to come my way and fortunately, they are happening. I hope, the flow won’t stop. There were days, when I was worried what next and did not even enjoy a success. Thankfully, today, I can pick and choose from all the opportunities coming my way.” Mahanati is releasing on 9th May and Abhimanyudu will also release in May.
