I followed 3 rules my uncles gave, says Sai Dharam Tej

After seven long years of acting and struggle Sai Dharam Tej is now getting his due in T’Town. In an interview with an English Daily he spoke about the Mega Family tag and all the struggles he had to undergo to rise to the position where he is today. “Having that `Mega’ family tag is great, but it did take a lot of resilience from my end. I had to discover myself before I could expect people to accept me. I learnt it the hard way. The most important thing that phase taught me was to be patient.People think that once you get a film offer, that’s it, you have arrived! But I learnt that it’s not the case,“ he says.

However, the actor always had successful films to fall back on, he must have been doing something right which is why he struck a chord with the audience. He had three back to back hits,  Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitam, Subramanyam for Sale and Supreme. He is surely one star that the producers can comfortably put their money on. So was acting in commercial cinema a considered choice? “It was a conscious choice to start off like this because I first wanted to be considered a bankable actor. My uncles gave me three important rules: Take care of your producer, satisfy your director and entertain the audiences. And I abide by them.”
