Huge Demand For Jailer 2 Theatrical Rights

Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has reportedly closed a major deal with Amazon Prime Video.

The digital rights of the Nelson Dilipkumar directorial are said to have been sold for around Rs. 160 crore making it one of the biggest OTT deals for a Tamil film.

Amazon Prime Video also acquired the digital rights of the first Jailer for around Rs. 100 crore. The sequel has therefore fetched a much higher amount.

Jailer 2 is produced by Kalanithi Maran under Sun Pictures with Rajinikanth returning as Tiger Muthuvel Pandian. Anirudh is composing the music while SJ Suryah, Ramya Krishnan and Yogi Babu are part of the cast.

The film is scheduled to release in theatres on October 15th without fail. Theatrical rights are also reportedly in high demand.
