How a village girl becomes ‘Abhinetri’?

In a remote village named Vetapalem, only one boy among the youngsters studies well and gets a job in the big city. His only wish in life is to marry a well educated girl who can teach their children to read and write english without any grammar mistakes. With this one ambition he keeps postponing his marriage and keeps searching for a suitable girl in the cities. But his grandmother blackmails him to marry a pure Village girl and he starts treating her indifferently. How a ghost enters into the story and makes it more glamorous? Will the man realise his mistake and will love sprout between the young married couple? This is the story of the ready to release film Abhinetri.

Tamannah will be seen in the character of Devi, who hails from a remote village and had been brought up in a very conservative and traditional village manner. She doesn’t even know how to behave in front of others and how to be presentable in a city. When a ghost enters into her body she transforms into a glam doll that the trailers promote. This film had been made in three languages Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The horror comedy genre has been well received over the years and the makers wish to cash in on the trend. Tamannah pinned all her hopes of returning to top position in Telugu and Tamil with the film, while she can also breakthrough into the Hindi industry that had been evading her. She released three films in Hindi with three stars but to her bad luck none of the films worked in a big way that she hoped they would.

Prabhu Deva is returning to acting in Tamil and Telugu after a good long break of 12 years. He had been busy directing movies in various languages.Kona Venkat is producing the film in Telugu, while Prabhu Deva himself is producing the film in Tamil and the other cast member Sonu Sood is producing the film in Hindi. The film also has three interesting titles in three languages Devil, Abhinetri and Tutak Tutak Tutiya. The film wishes to tickle your funny bone with fresh comedy even though the subject seems to be little 90’s style!
