Dil Raju has become a synonym of success last year. He produced six movies and all of them earned him profits. This year he is not that successful and two movies have failed already. His third movie, Hello Guru Prema Kosame with Ram and Anupama Parameshwaran released on 18th September. How is the movie? Let’s discuss …

Plot : Vishwanath (Prakash Raj) is a Government Employee who believes in human connections and his promise. His Gayatri (Amani) thinks opposite to him but they both continue to have a good dynamic. Their daughter Anu (Anupama Parameshwaran) is a great lover of her Dad and she respects his wishes more than anyone else.

Sanju (Ram) son of a friend (Sitara) of Vishwanath falls for Anu (Anupama). Interestingly, he becomes a friend of Vishwanath and they both challenge each other and help each other as friends. Who will win? Whom will Anu choose between Viswanath and Sanju? Watch the movie for answers…

Performances : Ram Pothineni is stuck in his acting career at a point where he acts in a certain way and people appreciate it. He needs to come of it and start exploring his talent more. He does his job well but that is not enough.

Anupama Parameshwaran lost her natural charm. She looks like she went through her emotions in the film. Praneetha Subash just did some overacting. Prakash Raj is good and rest all are adequate to the characters they are given.

Technicalities : Vijay K. Chakravarthy did the Cinematography for the movie. He failed to give the movie, a good tone or depth to scenes from his side.

Karthika Srinivas’s editing doesn’t allow the story to have a flow and the scene editing is also very jerky. He couldn’t really make us feel like watching a movie rather than a collection of clips.

Devi Sri Prasad’s music is a big minus for the movie. It doesn’t help the movie at all. The songs and BGM are really his bad work, in recent times.

Prasanna Kumar seems to have decided to stick to his tried and tested formula than trying aiming for something new. He tried to recreate Nenu Local with a plot that doesn’t require such treatment. It is like I have a formula for my script and I will thoroughly follow it, rather than trying to tell his story with honesty. Except for a few jokes, nothing works much too.

Trinadha Rao Nakkina, the director of the movie failed to really hold the movie together. His plots and sub-plots are highly convoluted and they don’t make big sense after a point. He just keeps telling the same obvious content in ten different ways. That harms the movie more.

Analysis : Director of the movie fails to understand the real USP of this movie. It doesn’t lie in the love story or in the friendly dynamic of Father-in-law and Son-in-law. It lies in the dynamic of Father and daughter love. In trying to explore it from son-in-law’s perspective, the film writer and director completely failed to establish the problem and give it a good solution.

So, the movie even though has a love story, a friendly Father-in-law and Son-in-law dynamic, it ends like a big bore. It doesn’t explore the interesting aspects and goes on repeating itself. It keeps telling the same point in ten different ways in ten different scenes and that harms the story, completely. This is the kind of film that you will have a competition about finding the inspirations that the writer and director took to make it.

Rating : 2/5
