The Raja Saab, a romantic horror-comedy directed by Maruthi starring Prabhas. The film is scheduled for a grand release on January 9th 2026, during the Sankranthi season. After the recent pre-release event the makers have unveiled the trailer which has created strong curiosity.
In the film Sanjay Dutt plays Prabhas grandfather. After his death he turns into a powerful and dangerous spirit whose soul is trapped inside a mansion. Prabhas moves into the house to learn more about his grandfather, unaware of the threat around him.
Anyone who enters the mansion comes under Sanjay Dutt’s control highlighting his terrifying presence. The mansion feels like a mysterious maze full of secrets and Prabhas and his friends get stuck inside. The trailer raises several questions about Sanjay Dutt’s character, Prabhas journey and the film’s climax.
The visuals and background score stand out especially Sanjay Dutt’s giant like look created with impressive VFX. Prabhas old style look and royal family backstory add intrigue.
Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal and Riddhi Kumar play the female leads. The film is produced under People Media Factory, with music by Thaman.
