Has the Master release pushed back many months?

Currently, there is huge uncertainty regarding the movie releases irrespective of the language. Everyone is facing the same problem. So is Vijay’s next Master. The movie which has Vijay Sethupathi in other crucial roles has completed its shooting long back. The movie was scheduled for release during the Summer season but it didn’t happen eventually due to the COVID situation.

There are talks that theaters will be open by next month. But the occupancy will be limited for sure and so are revenues. Plus there are still second thoughts whether the audience will be liking to come to theaters. So filmmakers of big films are still hesitating to make plans for movie releases anytime soon.

So, the latest info is that Master filmmakers have decided to postpone the film by at least six months. The movie might be released in the Summer season 2021. Lokesh Kanagaraj is the movie director. Malavika Mohanan is the female lead.
